Your support builds a flagship jazz institution, nurtures emerging artists,
and brings world‑class jazz into Western Australian venues.
Create world‑class performances
Your presence and your support turn every WA Jazz Project performance into a truly collaborative experience, where musicians and audience shape the music together in real time.
Because our musicians improvise, every concert is a once‑only event—crafted in the moment with the audience. Your donation ensures we can keep presenting these world‑class, one‑off performances in Western Australia.
Each flagship big band concert costs tens of thousands of dollars to rehearse, present in a major venue, commission new work and capture on recording, and your gift helps make this possible.
With your help we can continue to present more opportunities to make music with you.

Build enduring infrastructure
It takes weeks, months, and in some cases years to prepare for our performances.
Starting with our creative team: music is selected, arrangements are written, parts and scores prepared, our musicians practice and prepare their parts for rehearsal, before finally hitting the concert hall stage in performance.
Help us build capacity and infrastructure, commission new compositions and arrangements, and bring jazz to the concert hall stage.

Inspire future generations
Western Australia has a long history of producing outstanding jazz musicians, with many of our community now making music on the worlds finest stages and historic jazz clubs.
Our organisation cares deeply about the education of future jazz musicians, whether it’s through internship programmes, inviting students to observe rehearsals, bringing the joy of jazz music to those that may have never experienced it, or featuring outstanding young talent on the concert hall stage with the WAJP ensemble.
